This complete second story addition was a phase 2 follow up to an earlier addition project designed by our firm. On a corner lot, and on view from multiple angles, the massing and placement of the second floor was sensitive to the neighborhood context. On the exterior, careful thought was given to the design to erase the distinction between existing and new parts of the house. On the interior, natural light and openness was the key to creating the wonderful rooms and spaces. The landscape design put the finishing touches to site, by accentuating the existing mature growth with new planting and hardscape to create comfortable outdoor spaces for family enjoyment.
