The target of this remodel was to expand an existing storage attic above the garage into a second story guest suite and storage loft. We also expanded a breakfast nook to the rear to tie in with the recently remodeled kitchen. The challenges for this design were to fit the addition within the allowable limits of the setbacks and daylight plane, and maximizing the space while stay within the tight construction budget. The result was an enhancement to the architectural character, and an appearance as if this was how the house was originally designed.
