A local developer restored this home in the historic Professorville neighborhood of Palo Alto, updating the amenities and features while still maintaining the home's original Craftsman characteristics. The interior rooms were reconfigured, dramatically improving the size and layout of the kitchen and master suite. A full basement was carefully added below the entire residence. This new space provided a game room, a guest suite, a laundry room, and an office corner tucked within the stairwell. The finished residence was put on the market as soon as its restoration was complete and it sold within a few days. The project also received high praise for its historic preservation efforts.
